Below is a installation procedure to install DotNetNuke portal version 4.x on our server.
Please backup all your existing files before you do any DNN installation.
Installation Instructions
A) Getting DotNetNuke installed in your site.
-First of all, open Copanel. On the Copanel make sure you still have availability
to create new database.
-Once checked, and then click on Software
-Choose DotNetNuke Software.
-Now, fill up the website name and the DNN version that you wish to install.
-Please Fill up the new database details for your DotNetNuke
*(database name, database User Name, password and MSSQL type)
*(make sure that the new database name is not same with the existing one)
-Click on Submit.
-It will be installed automatically on your domain.
B) DotNetNuke Setup
- Open your browser and navigate to http://yourdomain.com/
- DotNetNuke will setup all the database objects when it first loads. This process
MAY run for several minutes. DO NOT hit the stop button on the browser.
- Once its stop loading, scroll till the bottom of the page, you will see the
"CLICK HERE TO ACCESS YOUR PORTAL".
- Click on it.
- Then, try to login.
